Other Happenings

In addition to giving out food and produce, we at the food pantry have been able to help our clients in other ways. Some of the other ways we have helped are as follows:

• Helping people connect with the Lions Club to get free Eye Exams and free Glasses
• Helping people connect with agencies who can get them help paying their Light, Gas and Water bills
• Helping people find free Clothing bedding or furniture
• Helping people connect with and sign up with Medicaid
• Helping people find free Medical help & expenses
• Helping people in locating their local Food Pantry
• Helping people find free School Supplies for their Children
• Helping people get a free Phone
• Helping people to sign up for SNAP (Food Stamps) and Child Support
• Helping people get Christmas presents for their children from different agencies such as the Salvation Army Angel Tree, Cross Pointe Ministries and various Churches
• Helping people with obtaining Disability from Social Security. Connecting them with lawyers that can help
• Helping people with Cancer connect with the Cancer Agency they needed
• Helping people in general by talking with them and exploring their options to solve their particular problem
